The collection was profoundly inspired by the world of art, specifically one of the most surprising and innovative techniques of the 20th century: Collage. The pieces in this collection combine noble metals such as yellow gold, gems and new fire-enamelled colours in soft tones. The “Collage” pieces have been designed based on the composition methods of Cubism, in which spatial perception is meaningless and free-reign is given to the layering of different points-of-view in each piece. What really stands out in this collection from Bagués is the teardrop pieces, painted in many different colours with surfaces that act as canvases on which different geometric forms are drawn. Every part of the jewels are crafted individually and filled with fired-enamelled colours, the firm’s technique par excellence. True to its word, this year Bagués has once more filled its pieces with meaning, life and fantasy; in these two collections, “Dansa” and “Collage”, there is a declaration of its own personal vision of contemporary jewellery of the 21st century.
